Installing Netatalk
Netatalk is available as a binary deb package in all versions of Raspbian except for v12 (Bookworm.)
Install the package with apt.
sudo apt install netatalk

For the intents and purposes of installing and using Netatalk, Debian and Raspberry Pi OS (Raspbian) behave exactly the same.
